Pac Gutierrez
Co-Founder, Director
Coach Pac attended Trabuco Hills and Mission Viejo High School where he lettered in both baseball and football. After a successful high school career Pac attended Mesa College and after his freshman season, Pac met Justin Bray (Owner of BPA) while playing in the Pacific Coast League. After winning Cy Young for the PCL he signed on with Bray and the California Scrappers where he led his team to 7 AZ World Series National Championships in 10 seasons. Pac then went on to Santa Ana High School as their assistant head varsity coach for 2 years, and then hired on by Big West Baseball. Pac directed and ran multiple nationally ranked team for BPA for 6 full seasons where he led teams to over 100 tournament championships. He is now ready and equipped with an amazing coaching staff to turn Cali National Baseball Academy into a premier National powerhouse.
Ryan Laird
Co-Founder, Director
Coach Ryan was born and raised in Garden Grove, CA and is a dedicated coach and athlete with extensive experience both playing and coaching baseball in competitive environments. He graduated from Santiago High School in 2002 where he was a pitcher, shortstop and second base. Ryan began coaching his two sons at Pony Baseball in 2010, where he was also a board member, and coached through the ranks of recreational baseball until 2017. During his time with Pony Baseball, Ryan had the honor of coaching All Stars at three different levels and winning the Pinto 7U West Zone Central Region in 2015 and the Mustang 9U West Zone Region in 2017. In 2017, Ryan joined Coach Pac and coached the Big West BPA travel ball organization, during which time he also coached for the So Cal Bombers, OC Premier, and the Baseball Youth All American Games. As a co-founder, Coach Ryan is dedicated to ensuring players achieve both personal and professional success on and off the field and is excited to be a part of building the Cali National Baseball program from the ground up.
Coach Dylan Murphy

Dylan R. Murphy - Cali National Coach 13U
Coach Murphy has had a passion for baseball since he was a child. He played second base and shortstop while attending Laguna Beach High School. He was awarded All-League his junior year while having a batting average over .400. Coach Murphy then attended UCSC where he played for their baseball team. Coach Murphywas one of the Captains of the Sluggers during his junior and senior years. During his four years on the Sluggers, he played every position except catcher and won awards his junior and senior year as a starting pitcher. After graduating UCSC with a bachelor of arts, Coach Murphy signed on to play with the San Diego Black Jacks, a semi-professional team, where he played from 2006 to 2008. Dylan is ready to continue spreading his knowledge to countless young ball players.

Coach Abel
14U
Abel attended Santa Ana Valley HS where he Played for the Falcons under coach Luke MacLennan. He Led his team and the Orange League in batting his senior year with a .531 average in 26 games and 81 at bats. After graduating Abel attended Irvine Valley College where he Played for the Lasers for two years and was Named a 2nd-Team All-Orange Empire Conference selection his sophomore year. In 2010 while playing for Cal State Dominguez Hills, Abel was Named 3rd-Team All-American by NCBWA, Daktronics/NCAA and Rawlings/ABCA. Named to the 1st-Team All-West Region by the NCBWA, Daktronics/NCAA and Rawlings/ABCA. Named 1st-Team All-CCAA, and the first Toro baseball player to be named CCAA Newcomer of the Year. He Led the Toros in average (.394), home runs (13), RBIs (64), total bases (150), SLG% (.664) and OB% (.462) and was second on the team in hits (89) and doubles (20). He Ranked in the top
five in the CCAA in home runs, RBIs, total bases, hits and doubles. Post College Abel played professional Baseball in New York for the Bucks professional Baseball team. Abel brings a ton of knowledge and experience and is an outstanding coach and private instructor.
Coach Zac
10U & 11U
Coach Zac oversees the training and development of all catchers within Cali National and also manages our 10U and 11U teams. After his collegiate career as a Catcher at Goldenwest College he was drafted by the Reds organization. After an injury plagued pro career, his passion for baseball has led him to coaching Youth and High School Players. Zac has managed travel ball teams, Baseball Youth All American Games, as well as giving back to the community managing little league teams voluntarily. Zac focuses on today's advanced fundamentals and providing lessons to both baseball and softball players to support their growth offensively and defensively.
Jordan Espino
14U
Coach Jordan Espino will be coaching our 14U team for the Spring season. Jordan graduated from Kennedy High School in 2010 where he was an outstanding football and baseball player. Jordan than attended Los Angeles Harbor Community College where he played on the baseball team in 2012 and 2013. He was an All-South Coast Conference Selection in 2013. After receiving his Associate of Arts Degree, Jordan earned a scholarship to Sterling College in Kansas where he played baseball in 2014 and 2015, and the privilege of playing in the 2015 NAIA College World Series. During his tenure at Sterling , he broke the record for RBIs his junior year and as an All-Conference and an All-American. Jordan graduated from Sterling College in 2015 with a Bachelor's of Science Degree and then went on to teach and coach baseball and football at Mary Star of the Sea High School in San Pedro, CA for two seasons. Jordan is equipped and ready to get the kids ready for high school ball!
